Barclays Wealth donates computers to students
A dozen delighted students received new portable computers - complete with operational and budgeting software, mouse, memory stick, earphones and carrying case – thanks to the community spirit of Barclays Wealth in Monaco. Speaking for fellow recipients, 17 year-old Timothee Braud, a first-year student at the Medical Faculty in Nice, said: “With these computers, we will be able to improve quality, work more easily and rapidly.” Vice President Ross Emerson, who organized the awards, explained that the bank likes to support both Monegasque and regional communities, and encourages the bank’s more than 130 employees to give time to their individual communities. “It’s a pilot project, we’d like to do more in the future,” he said.
